Start: HSE sexual health services
Use the HSE sexual health services page to see the service categories currently presented by the HSE. This is the safest first stop when you are not sure which official route applies.
Find a clinic
Use the HSE’s sexual health services and clinics list. It is the source to recheck for the current county entries and contact routes. STI.ie does not guarantee that copied addresses, numbers or appointment arrangements remain current.
Read general STI information
Use the HSE’s sexually transmitted infections page for its current general health information and links to individual condition pages. A webpage cannot diagnose a symptom or interpret a personal result.
Find the HSE-linked home-testing route
Open the home-testing option from the HSE sexual-health services page. Check the current eligibility, service description, privacy information and instructions on the linked service before ordering or sending a sample. See the home-test source guide for a link-checking checklist.
How to recognise the source
- Check that the health information page is on an HSE domain such as
www2.hse.ieor is reached through an explicit HSE service link. - Read the page title, full address bar and any “last reviewed” information.
- For a third-party service linked by HSE, distinguish the HSE’s description from the provider’s own current terms and instructions.
- Save the access date when recording a contact or service route.
