CHECKER PRIVACY · 1 OCTOBER 2026

Your bits.
Your business.

STI.ie is an independent information guide. We do not receive test orders or laboratory results from the services we link to.

Using the guide

Your selections are handled in your browser tab. They are not sent to our server, placed in the URL, stored in your browser or connected to an email signup. Restarting or leaving clears the guide. This version accepts no photographs.

The Junk Checker pages contain no third-party analytics, advertising pixels or external scripts. Ordinary web hosting can keep security and access logs containing an IP address, time and requested page. Those logs do not receive your checker selections. Other STI.ie pages and external services have their own tracking and privacy arrangements.

Optional email updates

You can use the guide without signing up. Adults may explicitly consent to STI.ie keeping an email address for occasional sexual-health information and Junk Checker updates. This interest can be sensitive, so signup is a separate, optional choice.

The private campaign register contains your email, a random signup identifier, signup time, adult confirmation, consent wording version, campaign and public source such as WhatsApp or Instagram. It contains no health answers, result, photo, name, phone number or exact IP address. Short-lived abuse counters expire after one hour.

Unverified email signups expire after 90 days. Expired records are excluded from operations and removed when the register is next accessed; the campaign operator also reviews expiry during weekly checks. STI.ie must verify addresses and review consent before any campaign email is sent. No email is sent by the signup itself. We do not sell the register or enrol you in another service.

Withdrawal and your rights

Keep the private withdrawal link shown after signing up. Opening it and selecting “Withdraw my consent” removes your address from this campaign register. The link is private: anyone with it can remove that signup. Do not share it.

You may also ask STI.ie for access, correction, deletion or withdrawal using hello@sti.ie, quoting “Junk Checker signup”. Do not include medical information or photographs. You can raise a concern with Ireland's Data Protection Commission.

Who handles the data?

STI.ie operates this campaign register through its existing Webworld hosting. The register is stored outside the public website folder, with restricted file access. Email updates and any future photo feature require their own checked delivery or processing route. This beta does not send your information to an image model, email platform or third-party marketing service.

Sharing

Sharing sends a public campaign link with generic wording. It never includes choices, results or your email. Your chosen sharing app handles the message under its own terms.
